After the success of its annual trail running event, The North Face (TNF), in partnership with the local government of Camarines Sur, introduces the first-ever TNF Outdoor Challenge Philippines to be held on the 18th of November 2017, featuring its brand new format for fitness and outdoor enthusiasts from all corners of the country.
Stepping off the usual race set-up, The North Face will prepare a unique trail and ensure its participants an epic adventure in line with the brand’s advocacy of supporting the wide-ranging community of dynamic individuals including fitness and outdoor enthusiasts, mountain climbers, hikers, and athletes, who lean toward outdoor activities.
The mixed terrain route, 12 mountain challenge stations (for the 22km category), 7 mountain challenge stations (for the 11km category), and four different ecosystem zones – earth, endurance, forest, and water – set at Camsur Watersports Complex await the runners to test their fitness, stamina, and overall endurance. Also, in various points of the Outdoor Endurance Challenge Course are stimulating challenges similar to training obstacles like mud-crawling, fallen tree hurdles, rock climbing, etc.
In preparation for the outdoor challenge, The North Face hosted a series of Outdoor Training Sessions for the participants lead by a renowned explorer, Powerful Human Founder and Master Trainer Ruben Payan Jr., to inspire and train fitness enthusiasts using the exceptional knowledge and abilities he acquired from years of experience.
Aside from upholding TNF’s mission through the event, Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis Villafuerte is also aiming to enhance their tourism by showcasing the locality’s beauty during the trail race.
Do not miss the opportunity! Explore beyond your comfort zones and test your limits!
